Breastfeeding and Returning to Work
This class is for the woman who plans on returning to work or school, either full-time or part-time, and wants to continue providing breast milk for her baby.
· Making the "Plan"
· Introducing the bottle
· Pumping and storing breast milk
· Maintaining professionalism
Also on hand: Representatives from several breast pump companies will be available to demonstrate their pumps and accessories. You will be given the opportunity to handle the pumps, and ask questions regarding their products and services. There will also be a panel discussion of mothers who have made the transition. Partners are not required to attend; quiet babies are welcome. If you are unable to attend your class, please call at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule or to receive a class refund. This will allow your seat to be made available to another participant.
Expectant parents delivering at Northwestern Memorial Hospital are required to have a Pediatrician for their newborn(s) prior to delivery. Please call Physician Referral at 312-926-8400 and one of our Health Consultants will assist you with referrals to Pediatricians.
This class may be covered under your healthcare flexible spending account (FSA). Talk with your FSA manager about this coverage.
